Your mission

A little spooky. A lot to solve.

Welcome to the Lantern Fair, where paper bats dance above the stalls and every pumpkin has a smile. Tonight, the central lantern has gone out. Keeper Wren left a six-part restart code in the fair records, but a gust has mixed them up. Search the stalls, fix the parade order and bring back the light. Nothing here jumps out at you; even the ghosts are made of bedsheets.

Set the table.

Print 8 essential game pages, single-sided. Add pencils and scrap paper. Keep the answer guide separate. Color is optional.

Read the start page before printing. No cutting, props or app required.

Good to know.

How much preparation does it take?

Choose Letter or A4 and print at actual size, single-sided. The start page identifies the pages you need. The 10-page game booklet includes an optional cover and invitation/certificate page. Print 8 essential pages; the separate five-page answer guide can stay on a screen. Allow time for printing and reading the instructions.

Will the age and playing time fit my group?

Ages 10+ and 25–45 minutes are design estimates. These first-edition games have not yet been timed with representative player groups. Reading confidence, teamwork and hints will change the time. Try our free mini mystery and sample clue to judge the style. Younger players may need an adult.

How does the group play?

Designed for one team of 2–6. For a larger private party, print a complete set for each team. Reading aloud helps everyone follow the story. This is a tabletop puzzle adventure; no one is physically locked in.

Can we play again or share the files?

You can print again for your own household and private, non-commercial gatherings. The solutions stay the same, so a replay will not be a new mystery. Please do not share the digital files, sell copies or use them at paid events. A classroom/commercial license is not included.
